What Patterned Carpets Are Available?

Patterned carpets are available in woven Axminsters, Wiltons or tufted ranges. Axminster carpets were originally made in Axminster Devon. They can have up to 56 colours in them hence they are often highly patterned and are mainly made of a mixture of wool and nylon.

 

Wiltons tend to be plain or have subtle designs as they can only have 5 colours in them. They are often made of polyprop and use fine yarn and so you get very defined lines. Tufted carpets are the criss-cross tonal options they can be made of either wool or manmade fibres, they are less expensive as they are quicker and easier to produce.
